How to Buy Healthy Food

Rich Beckermeyer August 18, 2014

Recently, I went shopping with a couple of health-minded friends. I was curious as to how to pick and buy food that was better for me. What it amounted to was a lot of picking of fresh produce and label reading.

Up until now I haven't used this technique, as simple as it is, to see what ingredients are in the various foods that I'm putting into my body. When reading labels make sure sugar (or an iteration) is not one of the first three ingredients and you should be good.

I can't think of a better way to make sure I know what's going into my body from here on out.
